Question Aftermarket parts for 2WD Tundra

I have a 2WD 2001 Toyota Tundra Access Cab SR5 V8. I had heard something about a year or so back that one could buy an aftermarket 4 wheel drive system and have it installed on your 2WD drive model. I was wondering if anyone knew if this was true and if so, where would one get information on it. Thanks.

It would probably be much cheaper for you to trade your Tundra in for a 4WD model. Why do you need a truck for college?

Well, I'm gonna go to college out in South Carolina, and we have a family farmt here, and i plan on having to do some work around there. If a Tundra like mine has 13k on it, how much could I get for that?

This will give you an idea http://www.kbb.com/

But, the only way you'll really know is to drive it onto some used car lots and ask what they'll pay you for this truck. It doesn't make any difference whether or not you're trading for a new vehicle...the wholesale cost to the dealer is always the same--although he might tell you differently if he's trying to flimflam you during the deal.

Also try looking into your biggest regional sunday paper classifieds...call the folks and ask if their truck has sold at the price they're asking.

I would suggest you looking at www.nada.com too!

I've looked at both KBB and NADA and KBB for some reason is way lower than NADA for my truck and reigon.

$4k less than NADA. I would rather go with NADA since that is what we use at the bank I work at.

Just my 2 cents!
