This is a discussion thread titled "BedRug $299 free shipping", within the Aftermarket Products forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I had mine a while now and still happy I went this route and not a spray in liner just made more sense for my needs. Not like I am tossing in bricks or anything like that but if I did I think the bedrug would hold up just fine too.
As for how it stays in place lots of velcro strips, don't worry it wont just fall out on its own it takes a bit of work even when you try. Oh best of all this thing is very comfy on the knees too if you have to climb in the bed. I found coupons online for place like autoanything before and got a good discount that way.
Love my BugRug. Also, be sure to clean the bed and sides before attaching the velco.
And yes, very easy on the knees when I have to crawl into the bed.

I've had a bedrug in my last 3 trucks and love 'em for all the reasons mentioned above. Although they feel just like carpet it's actually made from polypropylene fibers and won't hold water. I haul anything I need to and when it get's dirty I just vacuum or hose it out.
I'll never have a drop-in or spray in liner again.....
I like the look, but I'm a little worried about hauling something like a refrigerator that you "walk" (pivot) into your bed. Would that tear up the Bedrug?
my bed is pretty scuffed up. not really bad, just a scratches really i guess. will this affect installation?
also, i have a slight leak on my retrax cover. been trying to find it, but presently unsuccessful. since the bedrug doesn't retain water, i suppose the water will have to move it's way to the tailgate eventually (or i wetvac it). but will water get between the bedrug and bed? i don't see anyone mention this. i have those plastic rail caps with what appears to be a small gap at the stake pocket covers. i imagine water would get in from there then find its way between the bed and bedrug.
lastly, what about removal. hopefully i wouldn't have to, but how hard is it? again, i'm worried about moisture between bed and bedrug.
thanks!

The bed rug is just velcro'd on. So it can come of pretty easy but you would have to remove the rail system.
Moisture will get in there if its out in the rain or a lot of humidity. Its not air/water tight so moisture will definitely get in. Shouldnt be anything to worry about though. Im sure it will wear down the paint in your bed with time if you just leave it on there. I read that one of the guys on this board periodically takes his off cleans and waxes the bed and put its back on. Thats too much work for me. Im goinna leave it on forever. If it starts rusting ill Line X the bed.

Glad they must have been posting incorrectly when you purchased. The link you supplied (Truckchamp.com) now quotes a retail of $628 and sells for $399.
All a man really needs for happiness in this world is a good woman, a faithful dog, and a big-a$$ed set of tires on his truck.

Like other have said simple install. Clean bed, Pull bedrug out of box unroll zip the side to the bottom portion of the bed rug set out in the sun or some were warm to help it mold better when installing but can still be done if colder and just wait for the warm weathe to help it mold beter to the truck later, Use their cleaning pad/promoter and put down the velcro on the bottom area, Then do the same for the sides and the tailgate. Total install time if you take your time is about a hour or less.
Is it pretty easy to install yourself, or does it need professional installation?
It's super easy to install and holds up extremely well to all kinds of torture!
I have it listed for 399 and free shipping. I think that is about the best you can find it for since I'm pretty sure the manufacturer doesn't allow it to be sold less by any authorized dealers
