CAI for 4.7 07 tundra

My Present this year for my birthday is a Cold air intake for my 07 tundra 4.7. First I went with TRD because I knew there would be no warranty problems and it would be a quality product. The problem was the cheapest price was nearl $400. Why is the TRD so expensive and is it worth it? If not the TRD what else would you suggest for a 4.7 liter engine?

Is the TRD worth $400. Probably not. However, the stock intake is a CAI and most aftermarket CAIs draw hot air from within the engine compartment. Volant and Trueflow are exceptions. And you can save $$$ on the Trueflow by just getting their drop-in replacement filter. I believe S&B also has an enclosed CAI, but probably not for the 2nd Gen Tundras.
