Default SoCal Motorsports

I am not saying buyer beware, but I want to see if anyone has dealt with them?

I ordered an AFE intake and Banks exhaust for my Tundra on Tuesday Jan 29th. The gentlemen that I spoke to stated that they should be at my door by Friday or Monday. I expected that this meant I would get an email that my items have shipped with a tracking order. I have not seen anything yet. I have tried to reach them but it always goes to voicemail and when I was ordering the parts I had no problems with someone calling me right back. I did finally reach someone on Thursday and he stated that the intake was heading to another warehouse and wasn't sure about the exhaust. He stated that he would call me back with tracking numbers. I have not heard back since.

I have no problem with things being on back order or this gentlemen being busy because he is a one man show. I just want communication and let me know so that I don't feel like I am being scammed.

That is my main concern is that when I was wanting to order product I received very quick responses. Now that I've ordered, I get no response.

They are not scammers. They are sponsors on almost every forum I frequent, and have been around for a while. They just seem to be understaffed sometimes.

I do not mean to say that they are scammers. I am just a little concerned when I don't receive communication and I was told that the product should be here by Friday and Monday with no tracking numbers.

It is good to hear from someone else that they are not scammers. Thanks

This is why I started this thread to hear positive things that will help me in giving it more time.

Hey Cranky,

I've gotten several things for my Tundra, and my G/F's Frontier (sorry she had the truck before I met her...lol)....John (not sure who you spoke with) has always been very prompt and you shouldn't have any problems with him.....I met him here in Vegas (during SEMA) and he was great.

Keep us informed.....

If you paid with a credit card you don't need to worry. Worst case would be that they take a long time to fill your order. They probably didn't have it in stock and have to wait on Banks and AFE.
I've also pretty much decided on the Banks cat back for my 5.7. Sure would like to know how it turns out once installed on your truck. Banks told me the muffler is 30" overall so it should be a pretty mellow sound. I hope so.

I have purchased my scangauge 2 from John. Very curteous and replied to my emails in a very timely manner! Product came in expected timeframe which stands very high in my books considering the extra time needed to ship down here to Hawai'i.

You don't need to worry. They are a good site to deal with.

It's a trip computer amongst other things that you hook up to your OBD-II port and it shows you your fuel consumption, intake/water temp,HP,cost of fuel used, check engine light codes, and some other neat things. It was a big topic just a few weeks ago. A quick search will bring up the threads about it and what the craze was with it.

Everything has come in as ordered. Looks like the reason for the the delay was on Banks side not SoCal.

The sound of the Banks is not mellow by any means. It actually sounds quite mean, but I did install it on my RCSB not my CrewMax. The CrewMax kit is much longer and may help mellow the sound. I would by it in a heart beat. The chrome is very nice and it is 3inch pipe all the way from the Y which is 2 1/2". The muffler is chromed also and is a straight thru which I think makes it much louder then a chambered muffler.

I will post some pics before the end of the weekend as it is going to storm out here and I want the chrome to be clean.

I called and left a message with them 2 days ago to order the AFE, but I haven't had a return phone call yet. I tried calling several times since I left the voicemail, but it continues to go to the answering machine.

Have you tried to IM them? I had better luck that way.
