Greetings all,
I wanted to share my experience with all of you to save you the $200 that I lost. I ordered the black bull bar to fit my '08 Tundra. The merchadise came and I checked it over. During shipping, it suffered a slight dent with no signs of scratches. Though that is usually enough for me to send it back, I thought I'd put it up next to the truck to see what it would look like. Long story short, I decided to return it for a refund. I logged onto their site and followed directions to acquire an RMA. I never received an RMA even though I received a confirmation that it would be emailed shortly. Because i was running close to the end of the 30 day return window, I decided to return it in the same box without an RMA. Well, they refused shipment because of no RMA.
Dealing with that "fly by night" company has cost me too much already, so I will never do business with them again, and I will not recommend them to anyone. Poor customer service and an inferior product - buyer beware huntertruckwholesale.com
How did you pay for the bull bar? If you used a credit card, they usually will have some sort of buyer protection. I pay all my online orders with American Express. They have a good buyer protection plan.
And if you save your e-mails, they can be used for evidence to either A.) go throught the credit card company to get your money back. or B.)take them to small claims court. At minimum I'd report them to the BBB.
Or maybe call them...
For orders only Our number (281) 240-2272
Office hour: Mon-Fri. 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (central time)
email messes up sometimes...junk blockers, firewalls and all that.
Thanks for the warning and their website does look a little suspicious, but did you exhaust all options before you flamed them?

I got the hunter bullbar in black....I have to admit, I made some mods to make it look good and had it line-x'd, but over-all, it's stiff. If you don't have access to a vise and burr, it would be annoying because one of the brackets they sent was bent and the holes were not aligned. You get what you pay for...in my case it was an easy fix and worth the price. If I wanted a tough as nails bar that could just be bolted up, I'd expect to pay more...just my 2C.

You are correct..after paying for return shipping and the added task of picking up the bar from the UPS store, I assume it's better for me to cut my losses at this point and flame them instead of pay for shipping again. I have bought many things on the web and have never been left out to dry like they did me, so F'em, they deserve it and whatever lost business from me flaming them.
I think it is good to let people know how sh!ty of a business they are. The word gets out on here and it will cost them a lot more than $200. Good to know. Thats a bid thumbs down for Huntertruckwholesale for having shabby customer service. BY BY SALES

I agree with you. Since when is it the consumer's duty to waste his time tracking their lazy azzez down when they don't respond? It only takes UPS one day to get a call tag to your door and pick up the package. Sorry about the costly lesson, but thanks for sharing your experience.

They aren't fly-by-night as they have been doing business for years. However, they are the "bargain-basement" of step bars/bull bars/brush guards, and as TundraBuddy said, you get what you pay for.

As the Senior Executive VP of Whirlpool told me about my crappy washing machine experience, " your life shouldn't be consumed by your washing machine....it's just an appliance!"
Same here, you shouldn't have to track them down, beg them to forgive themselves for the issues and please oh please give me my money back! Make it short and sweet, let them know how dissatisfied you are, send them the link to this site and hopefully others you have posted on and tell them the ball is in their court. We, meaning us business owners, all make mistakes....you want someone's $200 today or the $2000 from the raving fan you have created by owning up and handling it?
"Balls on the table, hammer in hand, first one to flintch looses!" Just my old sales training thing.....
Sure, the directions they supply are not 'perfect'' however, I personally have not had an issue with the company. Yes, I purchased a product from them and was satisfied with the entire transaction.
