Default Who has installed the Weathertech In-Channel Side Window Deflectors?

I have a set of (4) Weathertech In-Channel Side Window Deflectors that I want to install on my 08 Tundra Double Cab.

Can anyone provide some tips, pointers or cautions? What is the best installation technique?

In the past I have only dealt with the adhesive attached outside mount type deflectors. I also see that the rear deflectors of these In-Channels for the Double Cab also has some sort of adhesive strips to aid in attachment.

Can anyone shed some light?

...Glenn

They are very easy to install.Follow the instructions and you'll be fine. There's no trick just be careful not to bend them to much just enough to install(you have to bend them a little to get them in the channels). They look better than stick ons but I don't like the outside wind noise I'm getting now.
They just press in the channel and the rears are double sided tape that press on.I've had the press on type on 3 other cars.Over time the tape may loosen so make sure you clean the area well before you stick them on.Everything installs within 30 mins.I'm somewhat happy just the wind noise I not happy with.Would I buy them again? I'm 90% sure I will.

They are simple to install but if you are really worried about it...the dealer will likely do it for you at no charge when you have your oil change done if you ask pretty please

Do it in the sun in the heat of the day, take your time and don't force it! Mine cracked the leading edge (on the flange part that sits in the channel) the first time I rolled the window up, but no problems since. They are much better and better looking than the adhesive type.

We pay a premium for shipping but IMHO they are worth every $. I have had the ones on a '94 Toy Xtracab Pup get cracked and pieces chipped and have repaired with SUPER GLUE with no issues. Follow the enclosed directions and ensure the in-channel surface is clean and dry! I have sets on the '94 Pup (14 years installed, not garaged), '04 NISSAN Altima 3.5SE, and most recently '08 Corolla CE.

I had them on my malibu 4dr and I loved them. The only problem with mine was I did not clean the channel good enough and the right rear would fall of the track when I rolled the window down. I ended up taking the rears off and leaving the fronts. They are super easy to install and once they are in they stay unless like me the channel was dirty and the thin double sided tape got dirty. The instructions are very clear adn easy to follow. I had the stick on ones before and the inchannel is far more superior and they look a lot better.
