That's a safe bet. You will be fine with the 5100s. The bounce is a sign you needed new shocks. Let us know how they ride once installed.
Enjoy the shocks and thanks for you business!
Hello,
Got the 5100s on the back a couple of weeks ago. Didn't really notice much difference until I went over some ruts in my dirt road... really smooth! Have not been on a freeway yet to see about the other bounce I had.
Just got the 5100s on the front over the weekend (I will post some pix and info on my experience with that soon). What a chore for me (I was by myself)... first time I have done that type of work on a vehicle. Set in the middle notch (much to my disappointment ) which is roughly 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" because I was not comfortable compressing the springs any further to get the full 2.5" lift. I look at things as "blessings in disguise" so it did work out very well in the end.
What a difference on the dirt roads! Way smooth, and cornering is way improved. I live in the mountains so this was a very good upgrade for me!
A quick question for shockguys, was I supposed to purchase a dust cover separately for the fronts? There was none in the box and it seems like there should be one installed on the front shocks. The backs came with the dust cover.
I will have more info and questions later but will probably post in new thread or a 5100 install thread.
Thanks for all the assistance!

They don't make boots for the fronts, so only the rears will have them. If you ever have a problem such as leaks, etc Bilstein backs their product with their warranty.

Sounds good. Thanks.
I will probably be lifting the fronts up to the second notch from the top. Just could not do it with the borrowed coil spring compressor set I had the first time around. I will be purchasing my own set and probably get two sets to be totally safe and comfortable, still less than $100.00. When did the install the first time the bolts were waaayyyy bent on the single set I was using.

Hi everyone, I'm brand new to post, but have been following for a while. (Purchased 03 Tundra Access last month with 52,000 miles for $9,500, cherry condition! ) I just ordered a set of 4 from OffRoadWarehouse for $360 shipped. Will update on timeliness of delivery. I attempted to contact ORW to see if the fronts were backordered, as thier site does not indicate this one way or another, but never heard back. Hopefully I do not recieve an email in the coming days that says "... the fronts are bakordered, and dont expect them till January"

If your vehicle isn't lifted there really isn't a need for 5100s. The HD's will work on stock height applications. However so will the 5100s. The HDs are a bit cheaper and will work depending on the weight of the trailer you are pulling.

Shockguy
I don't have a lift on my 2000 TRD 4x4, however I was under the impression that with the 5100s you can get a 2" lift on the front. I would like a 2 inch lift in the front and about 1 1/2 in the rear. Could i achieve this with the 5100s in the front and rear with a AAL in the rear? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this question has already been asked.

The 5100s aren't a suspension lift, therefore they don't lift your vehicle. However some 5100s can help with leveling but not all of them. They are designed for lifted applications though. However they can be used for stock applications, but most folks go with the Heavy Duty's in that case.
However if you are going to raise your vehicle at some point, you might as well go with the 5100s.
