Assistance in Installing Hood Protector on 08 Tundra - Toyota Tundra Forums : Tundra Solutions Forum

I found this site while looking for installation instructions on a 2008 Tundra Hood Protector.

My stumbling block is at step one: "Remove the black plastic grill insert from the top of the grill".

Can you tell me how this is done? Im afraid Im going to break it. Does it just pop out?

Thank you for the tip.

I did manage to get it installed, but it's a bit lopsided. One faring that sits above the headlight is lower than the other. Not by much, but enough for me to notice, so I'll redo it at some point I'm sure.

Be careful. The low side might scratch your hood as the wind hits it. Just a thought.

its not as hard as you may think with a flat head screw driver gentley pry off the insert from the grille starting from one end and move down and there you go......
