Default Lights for Light Bar Install

I have a naked N-Fab bar on my 2007. Would like to get a set of off road lights. Let's say you have zero electrical ability but some mechanical ability, how hard is it to wire them? If it matters, I do not have fog lights. Truck is an 07 DC SR5, bench seat. Thanks.

WOW !!!! One switch for each light ----

Installing lights is pretty straightforward. PIAA makes it real easy, but anyone can really do it. The relay is really the focus of the install, since everything connects to it. From the relay, you have

    1. The power line. Make sure it has in in-line fuse and connect it directly to the battery -- make sure the fuse is not in when your are diong the install.
    2. The ground. I connected this directly to the ground near the fuse box in the engine bay.
    3. The lights. This wire goes to your lights.
    4. The switch. This wire goes through the rubber boot on the drivers side of the firewall into the cab - pull this wire to where you want to install the switch. You'll have to punch a hole through the rubber boot (I used a screwdriver to punch the hole, then taped the wire to a coat hangar and fed it through the boot).
    5. The trigger. I connected this to my parking lights - so when I have my lights on, the relay turns on the power coming from the battery (but the lights won't come on until you turn them on with your switch). Some states require that the extra lights turn off with your high-beams... in that case, you'll want to connect the trigger to your headlights (since your headlights turn off when the high beams are on) -- this way power to your extra lights will come on when you have your headlights on, buy will turn off when the hi-beams are on.

Just take a look at your relay and make sure all your connections are correct. The lights may require an extra grounding location, depending on what kind you get. Some people are more efficient at tapping into an existing fuse in the fuse box, but this is more complicated (and difficult) for me. :der:

This should provide you with the basics for an easy install... check my album for pics of the relay locations. Since I have PIAAs, the switch comes on a pod that you stick anywhere.
