Default Tundra Double Cab Accessories

Ok, the new double cab in black is in the garage. It's the SR5 with the TRD Option.

I would like to add tubular assist steps, a tonneu cover for the bed and if possible the factory trip computer.

Anyone find manufacturers of tubular assist steps and the tonneu cover, other than they Toyota versions? Since the body style is new, the places I checked so far do not have anything that fits.

Also the trip computer is not offered as an accessory by Toyota (its an option from the factory,) does anyone have any information on buying one and installing it.

I have a 2004 DC as well and purchased the challenger step bars by steelhorse. They are actually what toyota uses as oem. Got them off ebay for $379 delivered to my door. Here's a link for to see what they look like

http://www.brandsport.com/toy-pts06-34040.html

They aren't round, more oval, and bolt on.

The tonneau is something I am looking at as well. I don't have the money for the retrax. I think its either a Access cover which rolls or Torza that folds. I cannot do the snap one because of the cold climate I live in. I'm going to post to find out if anyone has had any experience with the soft folding one.

I like the retrax one, but if you get ice or snow in the channels, I wonder if it will still slide back? The Truxedo soft cover looked interesting. Having the tool box accessable without removing the cover would be nice.

I have some good news for the double cab. If mine gets out of the body shop this week it will be test fitted for a ARE lid and top on Friday. I will see if I can share pictures.

Default Westin Step bars

Westin is in the process of making step bars for the DC. They will be out in their Signature (steel tubes) and Platinum (stainless tubes) Series. Both will be available in powder coated black and chrome finish.
I have heard they will be available in 3 or 4 weeks. I have seen prices advertised on some web sites of around $190 for the black Signature Series and about $270 for the black Platinum Series.

I am also keen to find out if the factory accessory meter can fitted to the DC.

Regarding the accessory meter,

From what Toyota USA said, it is not currently a dealer installed accessory. In the next few weeks, I hope to find out what sensors and wiring is required to install it.
