Sorry folk I also posted this in the interior exterior forum but wasn't getting any repsonses.......
I have a quick question for those that use any type of expansion blocks for tie downs, bed rails, TRACRAC, etc...I was test fitting the TRACRAC yesterday and when tightening down the rails the expansion block rises just slightly up out of the stake pocket on the outermost portion where the truckbed rail slopes away. IS this normal or should the expansion block hook completely under the stakepocket?? there are only three sides that have a lip and the fourth side (on the outmost part if the bedrail is a solid vertical wall with no lip for the block to slip under. Just wondering as I can tighten down the block enough to prevent removal but can see a 1/8"-1/4" of the block between the plastic shim and the bedrail.
Those with RETRAX....my initial test fit indicated it does NOT appear I have to cut out any of the RETRAX rail around the stake pocket! Can leave the RETRAX rail intact as it only covers 1/2 the stake pocket and the bolt skirts right around the rail...... However, I may have to cut some off the plastic shim TRACRAC gives you to keep it off the RETRAX rail and prevent it from adding even more height to the inside edge....I will try and get pics of the test fit on the single rail I did...(had to stop this weekend as we had a emergency with our new puppy as she hurt her foot real bad (bad sprain-caught her foot between bars in her crate! ) Vet visit today confrimed sprain/brusie but luckily no broken bones! Probably wont get to the new TRACRAC till the weekend now

I installed the TracRac on my truck yesterday. I sandwiched the Retrax flange between the plastic shim and the TracRac rail. I have a drop in bedliner and have plastic caps on all the rails. I had to use the rubber shims to level the TracRac rails. I put the rubber shims on the outer edge between the plastic shims and the TracRac rails. It was a little tricky but I am happy with the results. The TracRac is very stable and slides smoothly. I will take some pictures and post them when I get a chance.
