ok So i am a bit embarrased to admit this, but i Have tried to make my own clear lenses for my 06. scheidl yes i did attempt! And the results were not so good. I came across a thread about Tacoma owners removing the amber in there lenses. I followed the steps listed in the thread to the "T" The basic theory behind the process is to heat up your lense assembly in your home cooking oven untill the heat makes the apoxy that is holding the lense on pliable enough to remove. My fault was that i followed the directions in the thread, rather than going with gut instinct!!! I used a certain temperature at so many minutes and began to remove the lense, i was 3/4 of the way around when the corner cracked! oops. cost of replacment $85 bucks! things to consider, i have a gas stove, not electric, non convection. If i had the balls to try it again, it looked friggin sweet!!! After my mishap, i figured i could wait untill a company released the clear corners....SOOOO WHERE ARE THEY?????? Getting angry! Apparently people in the import scene have been doing this kind of mod for a long time. Those who wish to venture into it, keep us posted!!! GOOD LUCK!
I want clear corners for my 05 DC!!!! **subscribes to thread**
So there is no possibility of using 04 clear corners on an 05? What exactly is so different and why did Toyota change the design?

I caved in and tried the 04s in my 06 the basic light is the same shape but the tab that snaps in the lower inside corner is not in the right place and the lens sticks out.
I was at the Tundrasolutions meet at Toms Farms and one of the guys from SoCal Tundras with the blue Tacoma had done his own corners. If i remember corrrectly, he preheated the oven to 350 degrees, turned it off, put them in for i dont remember how long (only problem), and then took them out and slowly peeled the amber off. The lights got a little moisture in them, but other than that, they look good.
argh! i had clear corners on my '02 ac. when will someone dish out some for my 06 dc?!?!?!?!?!?
(i'd also like some blacked out headlight housings)
