AMEN to that! I opted for the dealer because I didn't really know any better. I don't know why since I got a '92 Wranlger that has a bunch of aftermarket goodies. Anyways....back on track. The dealer installed 3-step WAAGS. Basically they are tube type but go from wheel to wheel.

Anyone know how much of a drop down do I need for a hitch arm? I have a stock height '02 SR5 4x2. I'm thinking the good 'ol 2" drop, but not sure. I don't tow much, but would rather have added protection against those tailgaters!

The towing experts over in the Hitch Questions/Help/Info thread can probably answer that question for you.

I couldn't live without the tube steps on mine -- or, rather, my wife wouldn't. Getting into the Tundra is more climb than getting into her Lexus!

We spent a wonderful week-end with some friends in New Mexico, toolin' around in his big Dodge. Admittedly, it's further off the ground than my Tundra, but climbin' in without tube steps or running boards really increased my appreciation for a little help steppin' into that high 4X4 cab.

I have a pair of chrome Wildcat Flash step-up bars. I put them on there for looks and to combat carelessly opened car doors. It wasn't until my father broke his foot that they became invaluable.

The Tundra is too high to step into IMO, so I installed the Manik nerf bars....absolutely love them on my truck and as others have stated, they protect the truck's sides from careless/thoughtless people.
