Aftermarket ProductsDiscussions about aftermarket products and accessories.
This is a discussion thread titled "Weather Tech Vent Shades", within the Aftermarket Products forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Can anyone post some pictures of their Tundra with the Weather Tech Vent Shades. I am thinkin about getting these but just want to make sure they look okay.
i have weathertech ventshades and bug guard. they look exceptional due to the lack of gaudy extra plastic required to attach the shade to the truck with 3m double sided tape. the in rail is a pita to install but is well worth it.
i have them on all 4 doors....sorry no pics though.

You don't mention access cab vs. double. How are the rear window shades attached? The access cab has no channel to place them in.

I have the Weather Techs on the front only and I think they are great. The design of the ones that use the 3M tape did not seem very clever to me. Why would I want to stick tape on my paint surface if I don't need to.
Seriously, if you are serious about the vent shades, I think these are the best looking ones of the bunch. They are a bit tricky to install but if you take your time, you should have no trouble. That said, the edge that slides up into the door rubber is pretty sharp so be careful. I seem to recall drawing a little blood on a finger sliding mine in.
I cannot comment on how the shades look in the back window since i have suicide doors in the back and not the full double cab.
If you really want some pictures, I can try to post some later this week but I am hard pressed to see how you would be disappointed. I think these look much better than the others. (just my .02)
i am guessing that you may be more concerned with how they look on both the front and the back together. if so, i can't help you here, ...

Do you have loud wind noise also?
Thanks fellas.
I have the weathertechs, the kind that attatches inside of the window, not sticking to the paint. No loud wind noise, and in my opinion, look great. I only have one picture in my gallery where you can see them.
EDIT, i forgot about this picture, its more of a profile view of the truck.
Pics have been in my gallery since last year. The weathertechs are garbage and cracked in the channels and I had to send them back for a refund. I've since replaced them with avs tape on's and they work great just like they're supposed to. I had weathertechs on my sorento and they worked great and I never had a problem with them. The difference between them was night and day so I don't understand why the ones for my tundra were so different.
