Default 2007 Tundra max door speaker?

Dont have my Tundra yet, but I'd like to get the system planned. Tried searching and found nothing.

Trying to decide if I can use my spare components (Focal Utopia, Dynaudio 3 ways) or if I need to buy new, shallower speakers.

What's the maximum mounting depth?

Thanks.

The rear doors probably have no limit since the windows don't go down (accessdoor). If you go down to 5.25" diameter speaker, you could probably put whatever you want in the front.

You're right, there isn't much info around on speaker replacement for '07 Tundras.

Rear I'm not so worried about.

I was hoping to get a true 7" speaker in the door... Or at least a long excursion 6.5, which means a mounting depth of just a little over 3"

I'm decent with fiberglass, but I don't remember what the footwell situation was on the Tundras I have looked at.

This may seem strange to most people, but this has a lot of impact on my Silverado vs Tundra decision.

I've got stock 6X9's in the front of a 2007 RC. I was looking to put rear speakers in to add some fill but the only place possible would be in the far rear of the door. No place behind the seats unless you use a speaker box.

The front door speakers have a spacer attached to the speaker. There is a sort of speaker surround that is built in to the door (6 x 9). Sorry I don't pics from when mine were swapped out. If you mod the speaker surround there is a pretty good amount of space. I am going to guess that a 7" would be pretty difficult, but a 6.5 should be fine. I put 6.5 comps in my front doors, can't remember the exact depth but I think it was 3".

What comps are you running? I'll check the depth.

Thanks for your reply.

There are a few threads in the audio section on this.
All you have to do is a search for the info.
I also posted some pics in those threads of my speaker swap.
Heres one of the threads.
