So I am guessing the "sail" panel where the tweeter is mounted comes with the "limited" version of the Tundra?!
I have an SR5 and was thinking about putting surface mounts in that location -- but I like the look you have there. I wonder if I can get Toyota or an autobody shop to order up the "limited" panels for me?

Strange, I have an SR5, albeit an 06 version, but I have my stock tweets located in the sails. The door mid grills though have a solid spot over where it looks like a set of tweets could also be mounted too.
Which is a better spot then, the sails or in the doors next to the mids?
Whelen 700's? Where did you find the set of clear 700's and chrome mounting bezels, and what sort of price did you find? I'm finding crazy prices like $119 for lights, and +$79 for clear, not counting the bezel.
Also, did you replace the stock cargo white lights with some LED's for brighter output too?

I'm still tweaking my settings and may yet move the tweeter lower on the door - perhaps between the two 6.5" woofers. Alpine says about putting the tweeter on the sail: "While this type of installation is undoubtedly the most common today, some may not consider it to be an ideal situation for imaging due to the large difference in distance. In general though, a high tweeter location is thought to be advantageous for improving perceived height and width of the soundstage, as well as achieving a strong high frequency output level."

Interested in doing some of these as well.
Thanks.
I am a Whelen dealer. Check "Strobes N More" for a internet dealer. This guy is giving them away
No, I did not replace the cargo lamp

I don't know if the mic didn't have a full enough range or a flat response but I didn't believe the results and have just set it "by ear" for now. It sounds really good but I'm sure there is more in there and am currently looking for a professional with the proper tools to squeak the last bit out of it.
So, once the snow has finally finished melting and the streets are dry, I'm going to have it detailed and I can get some pictures of the completed project

Very nice work. You mentioned in a previous post that you are leasing this truck. ??? Lease-to-own I hope. For those with pipe dreams of creating a similiar system, please acknowledge the approximate price tag (in US $) to purchase the components and materials, much less the massive amounts of labor. I spent $6k on my last install, which was about half of what you did here. Congrats on completing the project; I hope you find a tuner to gain the last ounce of performance available. I bet she sounds amazing!
