Yep, they make my house payments too. Its called salary....
Actually, I use the truck for work so have to have it lettered to get into industrial properties. I get reimbursed by the company per km and write the lease payments off on my taxes.

The guy did an awesome job - took him 18 hours! The logos and lettering of Motorola are actually cut-outs so the blue showing through is the paint.

That is the best truck on forum!
Nice job!
Why did not you install d205? I think it would be better looking, same price.
How do you like the tires? You have them on stock 20, any rubing? It seams they should be installed on 9-10' width rim, stock is 8'. Any concernes?
Thanks

Well, I decided I didn't like the Alpine D105 unit. It was too heavy and "squishing" the little tray under it. Also, it was difficult to control the touch screen high like it was - especially while driving. I'm sure in a single DIN application it would be awesome but in a double DIN like this one it just wasn't right.
Anyhow, today I exchanged it for a W205 double DIN unit.
I had a minor panic attack at first as I was installing it as the sleeve wouldn't fit in the dash kit. Then it occured to me to check how the original unit was installed. Sure enough, it had some nice little brackets that bolted right on to the Alpine. Pardon the pics today, the D2 is at home so I had to use my old Ricoh:
So now it fits like a glove and looks factory. Gotta say I am very pleased:

I like em. There was a slight bit of rubbing on the skid plate at first but it was easily corrected. The guys at OK Tire recommended these as the biggest tire that would fit on those rims so I have no concerns.

Thanks for the response! Nice head unit

Sorry for that typo. I was looking at d105 and wrote d205, however it is w205. Here is the link Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
I really like that unit, I have it for almost 6 month at my wifes highlander. It plays even European DVDs. The only problem with it is the quality of radio signal that I get. With the stock unit I did not have any interference. Installed it professionally. Tried aftermarket antennas, no luck. Alpine tech support confirmed that they have some issues with stock antennas on toytas.
Nav system is an optional add-on! I did not get the nav, because I got Garmin before Alpine and I use it in rental cars on ocasion.

That is one damn fine job you've done. That truck looks absolutely amazing.
Some of those pics gave me shivers up my spine with all the wires everywhere. Nice to see someone understands it all!
Great job!!!
Thanks!
Yeah, it is a nasty tangle of wires right now but once my speakers finally come in, I'll be able to eliminate the interface box and all analog lines. There will be only a single optical fibre running from the head to the sound processor in back.
