I just installed a Pioneer AVIC-D3. Just curious, does the glare affect your W205 as bad as mine? I'm going back to the installer to have him change the tilt angle a few degrees forward in hopes of eliminating the glare. Would be nice to develop an lip/overhang that looks stock that installs between the dash and the dashkit...
Very ambitious install, BTW

I guess there must be some glare. Never paid it much mind since LCDs are notoriously hard to read in bright sunlight

So when you rewired the factory camera for your head unit with RCAs, I am guessing you used the black wire for the RCA coax center signal feed, the white for the RCA ground, blue goes to chasis ground, and the red was a switched power? Sound correct?
From the factory harness:
Black = 12v (CA+) <-- accessory power must be brought to here
White = Ground (CGND) <-- ground must be brought to here
Red = Center of coax (V+)
Grey = Shield of coax (V-)

Wow - what an amazing amount of work. But I cringed every time I looked at one of your pictures, kind of like an episode of "pimp-my-ride." Do you really have to advertise "Motorola" all over your truck as part of your job?

Thanks
I use my truck for work. To get access to industrial properties you need to be lettered. If I'm going to be lettered its gotta look good!

Nice Headrests . They really came in handy with my 2 and 6 year old. We drove from Pennsylvania to Southern Georgia and back last week. The headrests were worth there weight in gold. We did a total of 2,475 miles . When we left on 8/16 - I had ~ 1,500 miles on my truck. I just rolled to 4,000 today...... yikes

Did you run a separate wire from the battery to power the Invision LCD's?
No, they are tied in with the steering wheel control box for now. They use a #22 cable to power both so I doubt they draw much current.
Once I begin installing the amplifiers I'll be redoing all the power runs onto the heavy feeds so that everything ends up to common points. It keeps the installation cleaner and makes troubleshooting much easier.
