Default 2006 Dc Ipod Interface

Just purchased and installed the USA-SPEC ipod Interface for use with my stock JBL system. This interface only works if you don't have the Nav. system and only works with the single disc changer. I think it works great and the unit also has an Aux. hook-up which I plugged my Sirius sat. radio into. The sound of both the ipod and the sat. radio is miles above the fm frequency run through. Install time is about 30 mins. to an hour tops. You can read and select songs from the stock radio w/o even touching your ipod and also display artist and song title on the stock head unit display. The display does not work with Sirius, you still have to read the display on which ever Sirius unit you have. Ordered my from Crutchfield and it even came with instructions on how to remove the dash. Very easy install.

winger, did you find the volume of the devices connected thru the USAspec really low - maybe only 60% of the what the CD or radio put out? I've had one of these interfaces for over a year and love it except for the low output levels, I wonder if the newer one have fixed this issue.

Next? BazookaVSE, Line-X and better rubber.

No actually quite the opposite, with my ipod the volume levels are almost the same as if I was playing a CD, maybe just slightly lower, which is a big improvement over the fm transmission. The sirius is just a lot cleaner and richer sounding to me, maybe not so much louder.
