Unhappy DF-TOY was working, now isn't

Wondering if anyone knows how to deal with this situation I'm having with my JBL 6-disc changer for my 05 Tundra DC.

- Bought a DF-TOY aux kit and plugged it in. Worked beautifully. I put in a couple CDs to see if the changer still works with the DF-TOY installed. No problems

- Unplugged everything so I could properly route the cables and make things clean

- Go to plug everything in again, and the HU doesn't seem to detect the DF-TOY anymore!

- Call Crutchfield to see if they'd replace the DF-TOY with a new one (I figured maybe the wires are faulty). They send me a new one.

- Got the new DF-TOY today, and tested it out---not working.

This leads me to conclude that there's something wrong with the HU, or perhaps I need to press a certain combination of buttons to make it detect the DF-TOY again.

Would anyone know how to deal with this?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I believe with the DF TOY you need to used different discs on the headunit. I think when I had mine it was disc 5 and track 1 or 2. Try that.

I'm sorry, I didn't quite understand that. So instead of disc6, the DF-TOY pretends to be disc5?

My problem is that even if I have no discs in the HU, it won't detect the DF-TOY...wondering if it's locked up or broken.

Thanks for the pointer, though!

On my 2004 Tundra my DF-TOY detects my Sirius Sportster on disc 6 track 1. On track 2 I get nothing.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to syphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
