    Default Sirius Satellite Problem

Okay so I finally found the reciever and fit kit from the toyota dealer for my 07 tundra and was anxious to install it. After tearing my truck to peices, I hooked up the simple connections. I have the 6 disc changer with the am/sat button. Hit the button but only am comes on. No satellite. What could be wrong? The connection is so easy... Please help

I have the same radio as you but have not performed this install. I installed Sirius' InV outboard radio mainly b/c they sent to me for free.

Does your antennae have a clear view of the sky?

Is your Sirius receiver receiving power??

I would be interested in the part number(s) and costs of the components you installed if you can.

So I just went back to the dealer where I bought the sirius stuff and it turns out that the parts only work with jbl stereos. Gotta take it all back. So pissed, I need howard stern. If anyone knows any other route to take, please let me know.

Don't know if this helps as I have the JBL, but i connected a sirius steletto 100 to the AUX female and lighter for power. Works great with sat button mounted it where the folder/laptop cover is. Side note: the shifter in drive obscures the view a little so I might move it to bottom of plastic folder cover.

I recently purchased a system that plugged in and works through all the factory controls just fine! I wanted nothing to do with XM. System was around 300 bucks and works fantastic! Just what I was looking for! I have the factory 6 disc with AM-SAT button, but it is not the JBL system.

Your dealer is incorrect. I do not have the JBL system and had the Toyota Sirius kit installed in my Tundra. Works just fine. If your radio has a SAT button, it will work as long as it is Toyotas fit kit.

Can you give us some more info? I would rather go that route, instead of having my Starmate sitting out.

    Thanks,.

I'm not sure what other info to tell you. I would find a service manager that has put satellite radios in the trucks and talk to him about it. If the radio has a SAT button, they have a kit for it, JBL is not needed. XM is the predominant one, but if you ask, they can get a Sirius kit. I had one installed in mine, and also the first CrewMax I sold that came to us.

i just use a cheap 50 dollar sirius receiver, and turn on the fm modulator to use with my stock radio. you could hardwire it as well into the aux input. why tear apart the dash if you don't need to. I have mine stuck in the cubby near the cig lighter. Looks good, fits perfect. It is hard to see the display, but thats does not bother me, it stays on channel 100.

I just installed mine I got a used one off ebay. This unit besides trying not to break the dash it took about 45 min. Look for a older verision or wait till miid feb. and you will be able to order the TOY-SC1 which works with the SC-C1 sirius.

Try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes, the headunit might have to "reset" to accept the satellite radio module.
