Default USA Spec AUX device on 2003 Tundra single CD / cassete stereo

I want to attach a MP3 player to my factory stereo (2003 Tundra stereo with single CD player and cassette). I purchased an auxiliary input device from Circuit City - USA Spec Model DF-TOY. The device did not work when I first hooked it up (The stereo would not display "CD6-1" when I pressed the DISC button). It started working after I removed and re-inserted the stereo power plug. It stopped working one day later. The device is connected by a cable to the back of my stereo. A voltmeter measures 12.8 volts DC at two of the pins of this cable.

Circuit City let me exchange my device for a new one. It does not work either.

Does anyone have information regarding the USA Spec DF-TOY?
Does anyone have a similar device attached to their 2003 Tundra?

Buy the PA-Toy12 and just use the aux feature. You will need to buy an RCA to stereo adapter ($2). Works great on my truck.

Somethings wrong with your install procedure. I've used the same USA-Spec DF-TOY adapter on both of my Tundras. My 2000 was the single CD like yours and my 2004 has the 6 disc changer. Only difference was I had to use the included adapter cable to use it in my 2004 whereas the 2000 just plugged directly into the remote changer port of the back of the radio.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to siphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
