There are different sizes for front doors and back doors.

6x9 and 6.5 that is my undestanding. The pictures also show the sizes, so the model Alpine SPS-17C2 is 6.5, but is a different model for 6 x 9

I am assuming they aren't a flush fit in the the front since the mount should be for a 6x9 but maybe the width is enough that you can just screw in the 6.5's...at least thats my guess
