Congrats ThirdHorseman! And yes, the smell does go away. I gutted mine too.
Good choice of components too. I went with the Focal K2 line also. 165KBE & 100KP to make a 3-way setup. Even though we had to do some cutting in the dash, the Focal sound is worth it. They are powered by a 1000 watt, 4 channel Zapco amp, with the built in EQ. But I noticed the they sound a bit bright, so my buddy hooked up a spectrum analyzer, and dimmed down the highs, and boosted the mids.
They only sound as good as the power you give them, and you did a great job on the amps too. Enjoy!

Excellent job! It seems that I've missed another fun weekend of modding and friends due WORK!!

Looks like you guys worked your arses off on this one.

Nick is an excellent friend! The box looks sweet...maybe the sound bug will hit me one day and I'll rip out my interior.

BTW....can you hear your phone ringing over all that music?

For the record: The new Edead deadening that was used in this install is buytl rubber and is not the source of the smell that Third was being bothered with. It's the curing fiberglass inside the sub enclosure. Should be gone soon huh tech?
