Default New CrewMax system

I finally finished my new system. It includes the following:

Factory headunit
JL Audio 10W3V3 sub .75cu enclosure
JL Audio 450/4 amp
JL Audio CleanSweep
JL Audio Summing unit
Diamond Audio 6.5" components in the front
Factory amp driving the factory rear speakers for fill

Overall I am really happy with the sound. The sub hits very nice, but not loud enough to rattle your eyeballs, and the front stage sounds awesome with the Diamond Audio components. The CleanSweep and Summing unit did a really nice job cleaning up the signal from the stock headunit and allowed me to keep the steering wheel control and Bluetooth. I still have not made a decision on the sound dampening, but will probably do that in the near future. Oh, and here is a pic of the enclosure/amp rack.

Is that the "carbon fiber" vinyl material?

Yes it is. I was going to just use black, but once I saw the carbon fiber I was sold on it.

Did you cut the back plastic panel? How do you like the JL clean sweep?

I am out of town this week, so I cannot post anymore pics until the weekend. I can tell you however that the back of the box is up against the back of the metal cab. We cut the plastic trim to get more space and even cut a metal bracket that held in the factory sub. I do not have the exact spec's of the box with me but if my memory is correct it is 20" tall, by 18" width, by 3.5" depth at the top and 7.75" depth at the bottom. These are all outside deminsions using .75" mdf. Hope this helps.

Yes, I did cut the rear panel. I am pretty happy with the Clean Sweep seems to work well in cleaning up the signal. I had to add the summing unit though to make it all work. I was also looking at Fosgate 3sixty, but got a really good deal on the JL, so I went with it.

Do you use the factory head unit or the clean sweep for volume control?

I am still using the factory head unit for the volume control. I did not really notice a change in sound quality, so I just turned up the CL volume as suggested in the instructions.

Regarding your jl cleansweep...?
did you just run your fronts through it?
did you run your stock rears through it?
i am guessing your fronts bypass your original amp?
where is your sub amp or is your 450/4 amping your sub?
i am doing a similar setup with the jl 13tw5 sub... on the jl 500/1 and 450/4 for the doors... i like the box ... i am also guessing you are not willing to sacrifice leg room like me!!!!

I ran the feed to the summing unit from the front speakers. The rear speakers are still run by the factory amp, the front and sub are now run by the 450/4, and yes sacrificing leg room was a key consideration when we put this together as I did not want to turn the truck into a double cab.

I am sure it sounds great!
Which side of the stock amp did you put your cleansweep for the front speakers? line level or amped side? i guess you left the 3 dashboard speakers on the orginal amp as well....? i am unsure if i want to keep the old amp but I may have too for ease and bluetooth....
