not sure how much wire you'd need, since i haven't done it, yet. but be sure to use good connectors and dielectric grease on the connections.

MA audio HK4000D? you don't have to worry too much, cause it won't do nearly the rated power. if you get even 3k watts out of it without upgrading to a 16 volt battery system with a 17 volt alternator, i'd be surprised. expect to see between 2,500 and 3,000 watts out of it. BUT it is not a very efficient amp, even for being a switching amp, so expect current draw in the 300-400 amp range and full power.

i just ordered a hk4000d... ill be setting the gains LOW though.
there is no such thing as having too efficient of a power supply system. upgrading the grounds may only achieve a .1 volt increase across the connections at idle, but when more power flows, it can equate to a much larger increase in voltage. the problem is that most people don't know how to or don't have the resources to test their ground system. most would be amazed at the benefits they can achieve by upgrading the grounds and some basic wires under the hood. usually when people complain about their headlights dimming from lower powered systems, i recommend upgrading the headlight wiring and that usually is enough to minimize or eliminate the dimming. the stock wiring is barely enough for the vehicle. upgrade your headlights, add some fogs or driving lights, and other electrical accessories and you will see an improvement from upgrading the grounds.
