Arrow Question about all Alpine setup (subs and amp)?

I am getting my first audio setup friday. The guy at the shop told me to get two 10" Alpine Type R's (1500watt, 500rms-Not quite sure on the ohms) and an Alpine PDX-4.150 - Alpine 4 Ch 600 Watt amp. My question is should i up to the Alpine PDX-1.1000 - Alpine 1 Ch 1000 Watt amp? Im going to use it primarily for bass. and is this the right match up in terms of amp and subs? Price is really not a big deal, but my budget is $1,600 Any help will be appreciated. And im an utter noob when it comes to car audio so please be gentle.

p.s. all of this is going behind my seats in a 08 Tundra Crewmaxx and 10's are all that can fit...or so he tells me...

Amp (1000)
Alpine PDX-1.1000 - Alpine 1 Ch 1000 Watt Digital Power Amplifier

Amp (600)
Alpine PDX-4.150 - Alpine 4 Ch 600 Watt Digital Power Amplifier

Subs
Alpine SWR-1022D - Alpine 10" Type R 1500W Dual 2 Ohm Subwoofer

I love Alpine type R's...very good subs. I would go for the 1000w amp over the 600. I would say go for the 600 if you are doing just one type R but if you're going to have two type R's and you mentioned you like bass I'd go with the 1000w if you can afford it. My friend had one type R 12" in his car and it slammed with a 600w amp. Yours should sound really good. Good luck and definitely post pics of the setup when you get done.

The sub amp depends on what kind of box you are going to run. Are you going sealed or ported?
If sealed then wait and get the 1000w, if ported then the 600 will do just fine. Sealed boxes need more power to get the same output but are tighter and more accurate, where ported are more efficient and play louder. The sacrifice is accuracy.
On another note. If you can keep the total resistance above 2 ohms then your amp will last longer.
Which body style are you putting this in? Just curious

Alpine PDX amps are great!! I am assuming the box is going to be a well made sealed box. I would just get the 1.1000 becuase I have it and I push two 12" pioneers with it and is great. I suggest a 1.0 FADE with it it at least. Heres mine.
