yeah, if you go straight down the middle then 13 feet should be plenty. On my last truck I ran them down the pass. door sills and the length got sucked up pretty quickly as they got routed around everything.
I'm thinking to run them straight down from the dash, and right down the side of the transmission hump to the back wall. All RCA's bundled together.
Then power wires down one door side, and speaker wiring all down the other door side.
What about amp turn on wire though, should it go with RCA's, or with speaker or power runs?

I ran my remote turn on wire down the center with the RCA's (cant see it in the picture, but its there). Once it hit the back wall I put a splice in it and ran one to each amp. All it does is tell the amp its time to wake up, so 18 awg is all that is needed.
Jumbo, what kind of wire loom is that you're using? It's a lot cleaner than the standard platic stuff.
Nice job too.
Thanks Michael, The loom is actually an expandable mesh loom. I cant remember the industry name for it, but there is a place in town where we can get it for about $0.15 a foot. Once you push it to expand it you can practically fit your hand thru it, but when you let it go it grabs the wires really tightly. Let me know if you need some, I can grab you about 20 feet and send it to you. It comes in all kinds of colors.

It's called techflex or something like that. You can also get it on ebay for decent prices from seller named furryletters.
I bought some from him and found their 3/8" over expand heat resistant and fray resistant one to be nice.

Thanks. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to wire up a system. I've had some amps and power wire sitting at my parents house for a little over three years... after looking at all the photos, I think I might swing by and pick it up.
If I do end up doing a system, and if I cant find it locally, can I send you some money for the loom? I like things to be clean... and it sure beats wrapping it with the other stuff.

Yeah, for sure. I go there all the time so let me know when youre ready and what color you want and I'll grab you some.
Hey bro, can you post an equipment/price list for all your gear?
Also, when you say you installed the steering wheel interface, does that work with the existing volume/track/ bluetooth switches on the wheel?
Do you have any pictures of the finished product?
Alot of the prices I cant remember because I've been buying things for quite a few months, but I bought almost everything on ebay for nearly half of retail.
I just programed the PAC-SWI-JACK steering wheel interface a few days ago. It works perfect for volume up/down, mode and track up/down. The instructions didnt give me any options for the steering wheel bluetooth controls so I left them alone for the time being. I never use the bluetooth anyway because the delay is terrible.
My equipment list is:
HU- Kenwood DNX8120
Speakers- Boston Acoustics Pro60's (fronts)
Boston Acoustics NX-67's (rears)
Amps- Alpine F-550 (fronts)
Alpine M-650 (subs)
Subs- 2 Rockford Fosgate 10" (P3SD210)
Wiring- Rockford Fosgate/ Monster
Dist. Blocks- Tsunami
Steering wheel interface- PAC SWI-JACK
Sirius tuner- Sirius SC-C1
Metra Dash kit- High Gloss
Everything is finally in and working so I'll get some finished pictures up tonight.
