Audio & StereoTechnical discussions about factory or aftermarket audio and video systems.
This is a discussion thread titled "Removing Cup Holder Area.", within the Audio & Stereo forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I encountered a different style screw. It had some type of grommet on top with a phillips head in the middle. I tried to pry it and no luck. Any ideas on how to get that off?
Mine was like that a plastic insert with a plastic "screw" that fit on the inside of the insert and spread it apart holding it in. I was able to use a screwdriver to remove it though by unscrewing it just like it was a screw.
Using the simple "unscrew" method didn't work. Underneath screw had some very sharp plastic edges. I'll try to "pop" it up and out of the hole tonight. Thanks for your help!
