Default Removing Cup Holder Area.

I was attempting to remove the cup holder area in order to get to the head unit to replace. I was following the instructions by taco tunes.

When I got to this part:
How to Install Stereo 2007 2008 Toyota Tundra

I encountered a different style screw. It had some type of grommet on top with a phillips head in the middle. I tried to pry it and no luck. Any ideas on how to get that off?

Thanks,
Chris

Mine was like that a plastic insert with a plastic "screw" that fit on the inside of the insert and spread it apart holding it in. I was able to use a screwdriver to remove it though by unscrewing it just like it was a screw.

Once you pull off the cup holder area you can reach in from underneath and just push that plastic pin up and out.

Thanks guys!

Using the simple "unscrew" method didn't work. Underneath screw had some very sharp plastic edges. I'll try to "pop" it up and out of the hole tonight. Thanks for your help!
