Default What Bluetooth kit and how to install on JBL E7006

I need some assistance and recommendations on what others have found to be the best bluetooth kit to install with the JBL E7006 Nav Sys. If it has been done, can someone assist with install advice.

THANKS!!

Parrot offers a couple of bluetooth kits. You can find them on the crutchfield website as well as others.

A buddy installed I believe a parrot system in an Audi and the quality is not very good to say the least....It was not cheap, around 500 ish including install and not worth it in my mind....an option to return it if you are not satisfied with the sound quality would be key in my opinion.....

I have the same year and model and am trying to do the same. Add Bluetooth, ipod and rear camera. What I am finding is that our radio is not as advanced enough to handle these things. You can add ipod, and there are some slick modules out there that look straight up OEM (VAIS). Seemingly can't add rear camera to the nav (limited inputs). Working on that. And as for Bluetooth, the problem that we have with our E7006's is that there is not mute function. So any Bluetooth is seperate of the radio. The closest I have found so far is that they splice into the left front speaker for the phone, add the mic up in the overhead console and put a switch into the dash somewhere. The switch is how you "answer and hang up". Not cool in my opinion. Supposedly the Advent Bluetooth works pretty good. Have not heard good things about Parrot. I am a stickler for things being OEM looking and working. I don't want to cut into things, have switches installed that show, etc. Apparently our model is on the cusp of the updated tech. The Tundras started getting around our model time. The 2008 Sequoias have it all too. I came up with the idea that maybe we can change our head unit out to the new one. Haven't looked into that yet, but will. The new units have the mute, extra inputs, ipod's etc. But I don't know if the newer head unit will seemlessly replace what we have or if they are compatable. If either of us finds out something, or someone else chimes in, we should post. I doubt we are the only ones looking. Especially since bluetooth, either by headset or integration, is the law here in California starting in July.

Thanks for the info in as far as installing bluetooth. I think it can be done and cleanly looking, conforming to OEM specs. I did install a backup camera that has done me well. It is the License frame type...easy install.

Thanks!

Dice let me know when I ordered the ipod unit (will upgrade to the HD radio and ipod integration when available in the next month or so) that they are working on an OEM functioning bluetooth module for us. It will be ready a little later this year. It is what sold me finally to go with them for the ipod integration over others. So we are close. Also, just a follow up to my post earlier, we are going to install the rear back up sensors instead of the camera.
