2003 Stereo question

I recently swapped out the factory 2003 single cd/tape unit in my Tundra for one of the Scion units. My radio had the small amp behind the HVAC controls, which I removed. Everything plugged in fine and works well.

I noticed that I have all 3 connectors - including the 12 pin. I thought the 12 pin was only used CD changers/sat radio/etc. I bought the truck used so I have no idea what's been in it over time. Does the fact that I have a 12 pin connector mean I've got extra equipment somewhere in the truck? Or did Toyota pre-wire that on all Tundras?
