Scion headunit

Just tried putting a stock Scion headunit into my 01' tundra. It doesn't fit because the faceplate is too wide, and the plugs are different

Has anyone put one of these in their tundra? Is there a way to convert the plug to work? And is there a way to make it fit without hacking up my dash?

I installed one in my '03. Fit was perfect. Regarding the wiring, I had an external amp mounted below the radio. I removed it and the wires that initially plugged into the amp, plugged directly into the Scion radio. Not sure if this is any help at all. I have noticed others who have installed a Scion unit into your year truck. There are suggestion on how to correct the fit.

Ok, I think I got this figured out.

Yes there was an amp under the HVAC controls, those plugs worked for me.

The radio is still too wide to fit in the dash, maybe a bit of trimming the dash will get it to work.
