Default '02 Sequoia Stereo install

I installed a mic for bluetooth:

And an antenna for GPS:

And an ipod cable:

And a backup camera:

And a nice new AVIC-D3 head unit to control it all:

Then I built a box and installed a JL 10w3 sub and a Rockford 500a2 amp to add some thump. The box is temporary until I can afford the JL stealth box. :

The power wire is mounted there so I can seperate the power wire at the fuse holder to remove the box easily when we go on trips and need the space. I'm still looking for some type of quick disconnect for the dual 8ga ground wires.

After all the work in running the bluetooth mic through the dash, up the a-piller and across the headliner, I found that my new Palm Centro's bluetooth is not compatible with Pioneer's bluetooth module. So all the $$ for the module and time to install and I still can't use the d@mn bluetooth. Head unit, bluetooth, gps, and ipod install only took about 2 hours. It took me an entire day to install the rearview camera. About 4-5 hours just to get the cable from one side of the lift gate to the other. Then after I finally got the wire run to the headunit I decided to test the rear window to make sure I had enough clearance from the camera wire. OOPS! I ran the wire on the outside of the regulator track, but didn't compensate for the window itself. After splicing the wire back together and moving the wire so it doesn't happen again, I was happy to find that the camera still worked. I have it angled so that you can see the trailer hitch for easy alignment.

Default Details:

I found that I could install the GPS antenna cable through the defroster vent directly to the back of the head unit. All I had to do was pull down on the plastic seperating the vent from the back of the head unit and fish the connector through.:

I pulled the a-piller trim and ran the Bluetooth mic cable up the a-piller and tucked it into the head liner at the top of the windsheild. I left a short service loop in the overhead console just in case I need to move the mic for better placement.

I built the box so that the sub fires downward. I did this so that we can still pack the back full and not worry about damaging the speaker grill.

I left enough room on the left side of the box to mount the amp to:

Mounted the fuse for the amp on the right side of the engine compartment and cut a small hole in the main wire harness grommet to fish the power wire into the cab. I ran the power wire through the drivers kick panel and under the driver/passenger door sills, then I had to remove the entire lower back panel to get it to the amp. (sorry I forgot to snap some pics with the rear torn apart)
