Audio & StereoTechnical discussions about factory or aftermarket audio and video systems.
This is a discussion thread titled "mp3 player question", within the Audio & Stereo forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I know I am not up on all the new stuff, but...I have an mp3 player that works fine in all instances except my Tundra. With the volume of the player and the radio all the way up it is not very loud.
Turn the volume up on the MP3 player to max, then adjust it with the in dash unit. The auxiliary plug is accepting the what would be headphone frequency, if the volume on the player is low, the frequency is weak, hence low volume.

Am I missing something?
mine is doing the same thing. i have no idea on what to do
Like I said in my original post...BOTH volumes are at max.
Its the head unit, basicly it sucks. There is some kind of booster thing they sell out there that is supposed to help with this. But its an add on and dont know how well it works.

If that is the case, why do some guys not have a problem and some do?
its could likely be the quality of your mp3's. on some songs is it a little louder then others? did your mp3's come from cd's you bought or from downloads like limewire? if they are downloads then the quality of the download would cause songs to play really quiet. it happens on computers as well.

referring back to my last post. some people may have all there songs off of itunes which has OK quality. CD's bought in the store have the best and even then arn't that great. i think the best clearest way to play music is from a radio station with perfect reception.
Hi guy,
I think thire analysis is correct indeed.because once I have the same problem with you.
