Default 2006 DC Tundra - Install Log Started

Just started this over at DIYMA, so rather than duplicate the wheel I'll just link to it for anyone interested in following my progress over the coming months.

Regards.

Thanks. I am hoping to do a little more work on it over the weekend. I have a few items left to go. I'm getting the amp that I hope to use this afternoon, which is a alpine pdx-5, which will be my only amp. Depending on where I decide it mounts best, I'll get my wiring run afterwards to do the next phase.

On deadning, I only have to finish the rear wall, then start on the doors. Will get the hood and ceiling at some point too, but they are not on my immediate list yet.

Regards.

The pics look great and it looks like a first rate job. Looks like youre really taking your time and doing it right. Looks well thought out.

I saw you had RamMat on the carpet, I had it in a lot of places on mine too. I used Goo Gone to get it off and it worked very well. I have an old pair of shorts that are now pretty sound proof too. Note to self: dont sit on the Dynamat either.

LOL...... yeah, a nice pretty spot of it on the carpet. I'm going to clean the carpet when I'm done with the install, and will spot clean the deadner off then. Figured it won't be the only dirt to be cleaned so might as well get it all done before I clean it.

I toyed with the idea of pulling the carpet out again when I'm all done and just steam clean it on the ground out of the truck before putting it all back together for a final time. Would give me a chance to put in a second layer of ensolite if I do it, but will probably not be until sometime this fall before I have time to consider it.

Thanks for the comments. Regards.

Thanks. Added another update with pics tonight as I finished up my amp rack.

Hopefully this log helps out someone else looking for ideas for a gen 1 double cab. There isn't much install space in these things, and that's for sure.
