Default Finally wired the radar detector and gps

I ran got a 12v power socket at radioshack and spliced into the factory power outlets and put the power socket under the steering column and ran the wire to the radar detector up the pillar. For the gps i just plugged it in one of the power socket and ran it behind the dash up through the glove box. Its so nice to have these cords out of the way and have a open power socket for my cell phone charger. The whole thing took around 2 hours which isnt too bad considering i had to take the center console out and take apart half of the dash to do it.
Only problem is the radar detector is pointing to the left a little... i guess its the curve of the windshield.. anyone have an idea on how to make it face directly forward?

Hows your "line of sight" ? I am gong to install both Radar and GPS but I think it would make me crazy to have them located in those positions.

gps isnt in the way of anything... the hood is in front of it when looking at it. I have the radar detector up more so its at the top left (though the angle to the left is worse). Its a little annoying but doesnt block anything other than the sky...

just moved the radar detector and ran the wire above the visor... Its facing straight now. I picked up some half inch wide aluminum thats probably 1/8" thick so its bendable and am gonna try to mount the radar detector without the suction cups and run the metal into the headliner to hold it up. Its behind the factory tint so its not clearly visible from the outside unless you look. Oh and its also not right by my head so its not annoying

That looks better and is in a more functional place IMO

made the metal piece, painted it black and ran it into the headliner... its barely visible from right outside the truck

How did you attach the metal piece to the headliner?

Also looks like you rendered your sun visor useless. Am I seeing things?
