Default clock removal

It must have been better if I had posted this here, instead of at computer/electrical:

I have an 02 Tundra with an aftermarket stereo that has a clock. I would like to use the space of the factory clock for another gauge. To remove it, can I cut the "line" of wires at their base, and just pull the glass LED display and "line" of wires out, or will this cause other issues?

Thanks in advance,
Arseum

Default Re: clock removal

More than likely the Clock is replaceable for service reasons so you should be able to just unplug it and tuck the wires away. I say never cut and leave exposed wires...ever.
