Audio & StereoTechnical discussions about factory or aftermarket audio and video systems.
This is a discussion thread titled "Eibach enclosure build", within the Audio & Stereo forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I was contacted earlier this week by Eibach to build an enclosure for an 08 Tundra they will have display at SEMA in Nov. They will be running 3 10w3 subwoofers sealed. The enclosure will be painted white where the subwoofers mount to match truck and the rest of the enclosure will be wrapped in Black Vinyl. Heres some pics so far.I need to sand it down with 600 grit and paint it tomorrow. I will post pics after its painted.
For some reason the pictures on here make the holes not look perfectly round. No clue why that is. They are perfectly round in the pictures on my computer.LOL

O.k. So its been while since I started this project. I am extremely anal about paint. You would think I was painting a Bentley the way I am about this crap.
I shot this thing 4 times total and the body shop shot it three times before I was satisified with it. The end result was from both myself and the bodyshop. Not sure why we both had such a hard time with such a simple project. I will be wrapping the rest in black Vinyl in the next couple fo days.
Here it is finished completely. I am so glad this is done. The Vinyl was lots of fun . ABout 4 hours worth of fun. But it turned out the way i wanted it too.
Hey tech12volt, how long you been building enclosures? If you don't mind me asking, what kind of profit did you make off this project?

I built the custom enclosure for the access cab. All stereo shops that see it just drool LOL! PM if you want info on one for yourself.
I have been installing since 1990. Built demo vehicles for several years for manufacturers and Iasca vehicles. Have always been the custom build guy at every shop i have ever worked at. Had my own retail car audio and tint shop in Atlanta during the late 90s and early 2000.
Moved to South Georgia to get away from the traffic and started my company Tech12volts.com a couple years back.
Actually this enclosure was free. Although I will getting some lowering stuff from Eibach for my Titan but i did not ask for anything in return for the enclosure other than my company name being on the vehicle . I build about 800 custom enclosures a year for many different vehicles and do about 2 installs a month for customers almost always out of state. Some guys have drove 10 hours one way for an install. I ony do installs one way. Thats the right way, no corners cut and no skimping on anything.
