Default 2003 Sequoia factory DVD wiring harness

I have a 2003 Sequoia that came with factory DVD. This is the true factory DVD and not a dealer installed setup.

Does anyone know how (if it is possible) to pull a video output from the DVD player? I would like to install headrest LCD's in additional to the overhead screen that came with the vehicle.

I thought I had isolated the video signal to a single wire on the wiring harness that comes out of the dvd player (Toyota faceplate but is actually manufactured by Matsushita). When I pull this one wire, video signal is lost from the overhead screen but everything else functions as normal. The screen is still on (backlight), just no dvd signal. But it's not that easy. I tested the lead on a TV's video in jack and I can't get a picture.

Any ideas? I can take pictures of the DVD player and wiring harness as well as the pin I had isolated if that might help but I'm hoping someone actually has access to a "pinout" schematic of the wiring harness.

Thanks!

That was perfect. Thanks a lot. Where does information like that come from? I was actually thinking about buying a set of factory service manuals since I like to do a lot of stuff myself...

I had indeed isolated the right wire but the reason I wasn't getting a video signal to my monitor when I tapped it was because I was tapping the "ECU" end instead of the DVD player end. Duh.

After looking at the wiring diagram, I knew that I had the right pin. So I just rechecked and it was that simple mistake. Viola, video output!

Does anyone want me to write up a "How to pull a video output from the factory DVD player mod"? haha.

That would be great. All knowledge that you can share is welcome. Someone else might have the same problems or it might inspire someone to do something.

Will do. Might be a week or two before my screens come in and I get everything wired up but I'll document it as I go and write it up later.
