Default New sound system thoughts.

So here is the deal, I've had my RCSB Tundra since Aug 1 and absolutely LOVE the truck, but the sound system is utterly depressing. Weak and inaccurate mid bass, lack of high end and just no thump.
As a present for my truck here is the list of stuff I want to put in:
Headunit
- JVC KW-NX7000 (7" with GPS and DVD) + Sat radio Install kit
Amp
- MTX Jackhammer JH805 (5 Channel)
Subs
- Polk Audio MOMO MM2084 (8" 4ohm Single voice coil)
Speakers
- Polk Audio MOMO MM6500 (6-1/2" Component 2 ways)

Amp will be set up in a 3 channel config 2 Channels @ 4ohms for the speakers and 1 Channel @ 2ohms for the subs. I am currently building a custom box for behind the seat of the truck as well so Im hoping that turns out nice. I will also be running all new 12 guage speaker wire for the truck due to the power demands of the speakers.

I haven't really done a major install like this before and was looking for some input or any helpful pointers.

At this point I have 2 questions
- Sub box, I was looking at coating it with herculiner bed liner as it will probably have stuff sitting ontop of it. Mostly snowmobile gear and helmets and stuff, I have been searching around and haven't seen this done before. Is there any reason it wouldn't work?

- Wiring harness for the Headunit, according to mettra's website the 70-1761 harness is the one for our truck, I will need that to power the headunit, but I wont need the speaker connections as they will be going to the amp. Do I need another harness for that?

Thanks in advance, I'll take a lot of pictures of the whole process
Brian

I've been playing with bedliner myself. Nice finish but I'm not sure how durable it is, guess it depends on how much you put on. Here's the link that sparked my idea.
