Default sliding cup holder in bench seat column shift Tundra?

Hey all,

I searched and read threads today for a couple of hours, but never did find what I needed.

I see plenty of threads, websites, and videos on how to remove a factory HU on a console-shift Tundra, but I have a bench seat Tundra with column shift and didn't see much about my truck.

Here's what I know:

1) Remove sliding cup holder under the climate controls
2) pop off/loosen silver part of the dash to the left of the factory HU
3) pop off climate control dash piece
4) unscrew HU bolts, etc, etc, etc

Can anyone help with item #1?

thanks!

There are 2 screws that hold it in at the upper corners...if memory serves, they are in at an angle...I had the same problem when installing a Nav in a friends Tundra, I had to lay on my back and look up in there to figure it out.

I looked at it from underneath and saw 2 screws UNDER the cup holders - I'll look in the upper corners tomorrow.

thanks!

Yup, two on the bottom and two at the top...you'll find em...like I said they are at an angle and I believe a bit recessed.

quick question-- what did you end up doing w/ your 2005 Tacoma and 1000lb slide-in camper? im considering the same thing, and i didn't see a post for what you ultimately decided/did.
thanks
