Default JL Audio Amps Vs. Sundown Audio

Does anybody know what the difference is between the JL Audio Slash 500/1v2 amp and the JL Audio 500/1 amp? There appears to be a small price difference but I can't find a decent site that lists all the specs for both amps.

I am looking at these amps as wells as Soundown Audio amps for my upcoming install. The 500/1 (which ever one I go for?) will be to power two Boston Acoustics G1 10" Dual 4 ohm. If anyone has other suggestions it would be very much appreciated.

Just kind went through the same thing... ended up purchasing a used slash 500/1 as opposed to the 500/1v2... The 500/1v2 has better cooling, and also has a signal sensing feature so that you supposedly don't have to run a remote wire and it will sense the voltage at the rca's to turn on. My old slash series stuff was awesome so I just didn't care which. There is not wrong choice in my opinion... their stuff really is nice!

Thanks Josh, the info is very much appreciated. I think I will go ahead with the 500/1 and save a few $.

If it matters to you at all, the 500/1 also has the signal sensing turn on feature. I have it wired like that in my IS250. the 500/1v2 has JL's newer logo, and slight redesign of the case. power output is the same. not worth the extra $$ IMO
