Buzz, you planning on covering up with something like the Ensolite from RAAMaudio? Our member Jumbo Jet did it in his '07 and the finished product was pretty amazing. See his thread here: Sound Deadening: Dynamat/Ensolite project complete

I used to do stuff like that when I was a kid. Give me a screwdriver and I could take anything apart. Putting it back together again was a different story...always had a bunch of parts left over...must have been just extra junk that really wasn't needed.

Good luck on the re-install...................

WOW, I'm impressed! I thought about doing the firewall when I deadened my truck, but just too much work, and it's my only vehicle. Nice work!

For all of you that don't know yet, that little box hanging in mid air on the passenger side of the firewall is the ECU/TCU. Thank the lord and Toyota engineers that i didn't have to take the entire dash out to get to it.

Just looking at all that stuff without the dash on it makes me think the Tundra is part Borg out of Star Trek.

Spec Miata is looking better by the day for my need to do a fixer upper.

Looks great, I hate road noise and rattles, so i can really appreaciate what you are doing. Just dont have the guts or time to do something like that.

Good news: I'm an ASE Certified Master Auto Mechanic

Don't try this at home, unless you're crazy like me.

The next step is a 6-layer process of second skin's Spectrum Spray-on deadener.
