Oh, you did that to your truck too? I just finished doing that last week. Did it in an hour.

Buzz, awesome job. Gotta love the attention to detail.

However, I think I found a simpler and quicker way to a quiet truck...

Today I prepped the interior for Spectrum spray on sound deadener.

This involves masking everything that I don't want the spray to adhere to....

I'll make a trip to the dealer when I'm done and "test drive" a new truck for comparison.

It's funny you mention that. The one thing you can never do anything about is the design of the cab and it's aerodynamic qualities (or lack there of.) There will ALWAYS be a certain amount of inherent noise in the design of the vehicle you're applying deadening to. I don't expect an anechoic chamber out of this project, but it will sound better than a truck that has nothing. For the most part, I'm looking for a reduction in structural noise from the engine bay. But as you can see, I'll probably do better than that...

Another great thing about sound deadening is the luxury car thud you get when closing the doors. And then the instant quietness of your surroundings. I love mine and it's about 40% when compared to yours. This thread gives me some more inspiration!
