Are you at all concerned about bolts and plastic push clips not fitting afterwards? I mean, SIX layers!!! Wheew... I had trouble with some push clips after only 2 layers of adhesive deadener.

Glad you asked....I took pictures of every panel before applying Damplifier Pro. And on most panels I cut around the mats at the area where a clip goes into a hole.
If you look here you can see all of the holes cut out on the right of the pic(on the B-pillar).
Wherever the holes were, I masked the hole off with tape before applying the spray.
See those same holes covered in tape?
On the panels where I didn't cut out the holes (like the center console) I'll cut them out when I put it back together.
Cutting out the sound deadener around the holes allows the factory clips to lay against the metal like they were designed, but allows for a thick layer of products where the panels don't actually touch the body.
There's a bunch of orange peel and run in that paint job!
J/K, looking good. I love that it is happening to an RCSB as well.
Yeah, I know. Sometimes the product starts to run if you move too slow. I'm using a lackluster compressor and as I work, the air pressure drops in the lines. It's not easy to lay the Spectrum up even all the time. But I have good news.......it doesn't matter. No one will know but you guys.
In all actuality, six layers of the spray-on deadener only ends up being about 2mm thick when it dries. It's a water based product and most of the thickness evaporates. It takes about a month for it to fully cure. But you have to wait at least a couple hours between coats.
Since I'm standing on the previous day's work when I apply a new layer, I'm waiting at least a day before applying another layer.
I took today off, so we're still looking at 2 layers total.
Holy crap.Your THE second skin audio guy.LOL.I just watched the video on spectrum. Is the tundra the demo vehicle?
Yup. That's me. I love second skin's products so much I asked Ant if he'd like me to do some videos for him, and the rest is history.
I guess the truck is a demo vehicle, but most of all it's my daily driver....when I'm done of course. For now it's at the plastic surgeon's getting enhanced.
