Just wanted to see how the project is coming along?
One of best threads so far!

2007 Tundra 5.7L DC 2WD SR5 TRD Nautical Blue 60k miles: K&N Drop-in Filter, removed carbon filter, removed throttle body metal screen, got rid of whistling sound by filing down throttle blade mounting screws flush with blade holder, cut off stock muffler flush (was fun for a while sounded rediculouslly loud but lost lowend) then added twin SS Magnaflows in place, sounds good, will do for now.
Go Gator's (again and again and again)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buzz, have you put any thought into mounting your subs yet?
I have been slowly designing a box design for a couple of twelves. I want to make a box that covers the floor entirely, yet only 6-8" tall. Then incorporate some storage compartments on the top so it's still useful.
I will use the slim line drivers and mount the amp on the box also. Keep in-mind, I will not be dismantling my entire truck like you have. Most likely I will just mat the doors.
Thanks for any/all advice.

The new slim drivers are great for getting creative with enclosures.
That sounds like an excellent idea for a box. When you build it, be sure to post pics.
As for advice, make sure the enclosure part of the box is sealed and solid. The more ridgid your box, the better the bass sounds. Use a high density material (like MDF, Birch, etc.) to construct it and follow the manufacturer's specs for air volume and port size/displacement.
I've got a few ideas in my head on how to do mine. The key for me, is I want it to appear stock for any doofus who is "peering" into my RCSB. I've thought about doing one that covers the floor like you describe, or doing one that is in the corner behind the driver's seat that "flows" a lot in looks like where the jack is stored behind the passenger seat. One thing I don't want to do, is to eliminate the ability to have storage behind my seats. I don't normally put stuff back there, but for when I do, it is nice to have. If I do the floor thing, that plastic tray back there will be totally removed and replaced. I can't imagine that thing doing anything but rattling with a sub or two resonating in the truck. Even those weak @$$ stock speakers rattle the doors when they attempt to go low.
I just realized you're the lazer etching guy. You did a great job on Casey's center console. I'll definitely be contacting you for a custom panel when I'm ready.
Please Please Please tell me all of that deadner is not for an SPL monster. LOL Man my hands and back hurt just thinking about that deadner being installed. I have do 120 SQ feet in a Titan from PA that is driving down in March for a SQ install and I am already dreading the deadner install part. It is nice to see an installer that takes his time and does something right. Like rolling the deadner flat. Every single square inch rolled. Great Job man from a fellow veteran installer .Can not wait to see what the end project looks like!!!!!!!!

Haha...thanks.
Lots of work, but I'm sure you know the benefits. Can you say Maybach Tundra?
Yup. Hand rolled everything flat and tight with 6 layers of Spectrum.

The level I'm taking this to?......watch and see.
Thats correct people would freak if they could hear how much difference all this is going to make in floor noise in this vehicle.I will be watching bro and I usually do not watch many installers now days because I personally do not care how many flip down monitors you can install in your trunk. LOL But i have a feeling by looking at your age this will be a sick install. I am 36 years old as well. Started installing at the local car audio shop for free when I was 15. First pioneer amp I ever installed had no remote turn on wire and everything was a pullout chassis so no cheap dash kit was going to cut it.
Are you spraying that new Dead liner too? I have a question about that stuff - does the Dead (Bed) liner wind up having some tack to it so things don't slide around, or does it wind up being really hard like Line-X?
I'm still undecided as to what way to go with a bedliner, and noticed that second skin offers this now.
(sorry for the off-topic post)
Yes, I will be using the new Dead Liner but since it's brand new, I haven't used the product yet.
If you have any questions feel free to call Ant at Second Skin. He'll be happy to tell you anything about his products. That's what I love about them, they are available and willing to give you info.
I've used Herculiner's do-it-yourself bedliner, i've sprayed on Rhino liner, and i've worked with Line-X to have some beds sprayed for my customers. And there is a huge difference between the 3.
Until Ant came out with his product, I would have gone with Line-X hands down. I know it gets really hard, but it's so much more durable and attractive. The sliding is the reason I bought a rubber bed mat the week I bought my truck. And I'll still use it no matter what bedliner I put in.
It will be a couple months before I put the bedliner in my truck, so I wouldn't wait to hear from me, just call Ant. But if you can wait, I'll make a build post about doing it and give up all the details.
I can tell you this, if the bedliner is just a stronger version of the spectrum, I will love to have it in my truck bed. The spectrum lays up nice with a good texture but it would be easily removed by metal edges and such.
Keep that monster coming along. You know that there's a bunch of us here that are reading this thread. Do you think that one layer of the Damplifier Pro and a layer of the Luxury liner pro will make a significant impact? I'm thinking of doing the DP on the floors, back wall, doors (inside and interior), and covering with some LLP on the floor, back wall, and door interior parts. The stuff is expensive. I have an RCSB, same as you, but I'm thinking about 90 sq ft or so of DP and 70 sq ft of LLP would get it done. I'm not sure about doing the headliner area. I want to upgrade my stereo with some nice SQ parts, but I don't plan on rattling the truck to death. I'll probably go with one 12" shallow mount like the Stereo Integrity Mag V4.
