Man with all of this extra weight, that Supercharger is going to make your trucks output equal to a stock Tundra .....
That is going to be a quiet truck when you are done though ..
Yeah. I knew it wasn't going to make the speed freaks happy. I bought this truck for the sole purpose of customizing it. I like the idea of shaving off 500 pounds, adding a four-link, dropping in low-comp pistons, adding a mild shot of nitrous, and scaring Corvette owners....but that's not what I bought it for.
So, I feel ya on the adding weight to a fast truck thing....but I'm ok with it.

This thread is so much fun. I'm assuming that things should move forward at a quicker pace, now that you don't have to wait on all of that drying time and stuff. I really hope everything goes back easily, and doesn't give you fits with fits.
Well, yes and no. For now I'm keeping it all stock for the sake of hearing the difference that sound insulation alone will make to the OEM system.
Of course, there's a lot of equipment itching to be installed soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
Some of the hang up has been life. I just can't dedicate as much time as I'd like to working on the truck....but I'm open for donations.
And yes. I'm praying for no fitment issues.

So now, to conceptualize, put a stock tundra on a track with a normal sized driver. Next to him is Buzz's supercharged truck with him behind the wheel and a 290 lb passenger sitting shotty. I still would bank on the supercharged Tundra with the fat guy screaming in the passenger seat!
Haha....fat people rule. Actually the sport appearance package shaves about that in weight over a towing/metal bumper truck. But they have 4.30 gears....so somebody tell me who's faster?

Buzz - I'm with you on your stated purpose of the truck. I bought my identical RCSB (mine's a 2007), to do what I wanted with it, to buy stuff at the Home Depot or Lowe's, and make it fun to drive. I came from a Corvette Z06 (2001) that I drove for 6.5 years, like grandma, before this. I get to drive plenty fast at work, and it definitely gets "it" out of my system. I just want my truck to fit my needs, and be fun to drive.
If I was truly worried about being fast, I would be looking at another platform - probably a 1997 or so Turbo Supra that I would have my buddy Chris at Boost Logic build for me. Those cars are incredible platforms. I still get a giggle inside everytime I think about how difficult it was for Toyota to sell them back in 93 to 98. I also remember that due to poor sales, they actually dropped the heck out of the price in the final year or so to "move them" out of inventory. That made a lot of the owners PO'd because their "investment" took a drastic dive when they had paid so much more for theirs. It wasn't until a few years after they were out of production that they really took off.
I've seen race-built V8 bottom ends (GM, FoMoCo, MoPar) that wouldn't handle the amount of power that those inline six bottom ends could handle (and do it well).
Bottom line for me - I never intended this truck to be a world beater - just a fun as heck vehicle to drive everyday.
Now I put psycho in the title of this thread for a reason. When I say psycho, I plan to deliver psycho. I'm not one of those mediocre forum trolls who promises psycho but delivers, at best, crazy. There isn't going to be any ludicrous, insane, or wacky stuff coming from this thread; just pure unadulterated psychotic behavior.
Buzz, I know I don't have to tell you this... but...
Be careful where you spray that stuff. Or swap it out for the lower expanding type. I've seen pictures where people have used that stuff in some places on cars and as it was in the final expansion part, it actually damaged parts of vehicles due to the expansion.

Good point. Of course, I am aware of the dangers. But anyone who is reading this needs to know: Expanding foam continues to expand for up to 8 hours. So, yes. If you are unstable enough to copy me: BE CAREFUL!
Good news. This is the minimal expanding type. And there are several cans already released into the truck.......
Hey Buzz,
While the truck is incapacitated, have you thought about pulling the wheels off and spraying the wheel wells with some bed liner? That may help some of the road noise dicipate (or what's left of it). Plus, it sets off the wells with a nice gloss.
