Try searching on the AVIC411 forum. There is a lot of good information on there. Those guys know that they are doing with all the neat hacks for the pioneer units and installation as well.

Wally...
I just installed mine today... go to Wallmart and buy the Sosche (sp?) wireharness for Toyota 81+... it has all the necessary wires and are labeled... just match color for color.

Beezwax, where did you connect the pink (car speed signal input) and the light green wire that the installation manual claims needs to be connected to the parking break?

Because it has a GPS and when the parking break is not on it disallows the use of the GPS as a safety precaution.

i just installed a f700 in my 08 tundra 2 weeks ago.first go get the harness from walmart, then go to avic411 and do a search for the hardwire bypass.it lets you use the nav and phone once the wires are connected/moved properly.and the f700 doen't have the pink wire for the vss, thats on the f900 and f90.i have been using mine and testing it in different ways and i haven't been able to get it to dissapoint me at all.

hell yeah for avic411,i would've never figured out how to do the bypass if it wasn't for that site.prob would've annoyed the hell out of me if the nav and phone options were locked out while driving.whats even funnier is that my friends are a little nervous to touch the radio to mess with me and change the radio.i also found out from avic411 that crutchfield has a sony wired remote that works with the f700,thinking about ordering that next so i don't have to keep reaching to control the radio.
