Here's the scoop. I am trying to figure out what to run in my DC Tundra, and I am not liking my choices. The box has to be installed under the rear seats, as I refuse to sacrifice the back seat. Even with lifting the rear seats slightly, it looks like you can only achieve roughly 2.5 cubic feet, and still are limited to a low height for mounting depth.
Are there any subs out there with decent power handling, that can be run in a small enclosure? I am not much of a fan of the shallow mount subs.
I will be powering the drivers with a Memphis Mojo MC-2000d, producing a total of atleast 2000 watts.
Note: My last system consisted of two 18" Fi Car Audio BTL's, mounted inverted, in 12.5 cubic feet, tuned to 28 hz, off of my single Memphis Mojo MC-2000d amplifier (so the drivers were severely underpowered). It used to do 150 db all day long. I need something! The stock system is driving me crazy!
Here's a pic of the old system....

You aren't going to hit 150 in your truck with those requirements.
Honestly, I recommend shallow mount subs for your application. They have larger VCs so they will handle big power and they sound great in limited space.
I know it's not going to be in the 150's, but I do still want to move some air. I heard a pair of pioneer shallow mounts in a sealed enclosure, and was unimpressed to say the least. The JL's are too expensive. I do have my eye on Memphis's new shallow mounts. Memphis M Class drivers are are also relatively shallow mounting, at 5" for a 10" driver, and 5.6" for a 12" driver. I also am considering Alpine's Type-S woofers, at a 5" mounting depth, although I have never been crazy about Alpine. Any other suggestions?

I would definitely concur with the Memphis S class I am in the process of a possible fiberglass enclosure under the the seat as well. My work is a memphis dealer and we have installed several memphis shallow subs with a matching s class amp. other good shallow subs, clarion has one and blauplunkt use to.
I am also toying with the idea of RE Audio SE 10's, which have a 5.25" mouting depth. I think the 12's would be a bit too deep with a 5.75" depth, although I would prefer to go with the 12's.

i think the memphis you can do in less than 3" RE is a good sub in terms of Hard hitting bass i would go bigger. I have not heard of their shallow subs though
Faq it. I decided on the RE SE 12's. The mounting depth is 5.75", so I'm going to have to be a bit crafty, but I figure I can squeeze 2.5 cubes out from underneath the seat, so it should be ok......not great, but ok.

I currently run a 10" Kicker Solo Classic, it only requires .66 of airspace and has a depth of 5-3/4"... So it's easy to get working properly... I'm about to add another and that should help me reach my goal. The L5 solo-barics are the same subs, but you get a bit more air moving since they are square.... They are way better than shallow mounts in my opinion....
