Default making a ported subwoofer box

Hi guys, I am just took my first step towards changeing my audio in my 08 limited double cab. I bought a du-ha storage bin and I ordered my sub today. What I would like to do is place this sub in the du-ha storage bin on my pasenger side. And mold the top of it out fiberglass and port it. So about 1/3 of my storage bin would be for the subwoofer and the other portion would be for storage.

So my question is would the fiberglass bond with the polyethylene. And I also ordered dynamat to line the polethylene portion of the subwoofer with to cut down on vibrations. Here is the link to the speaker website. I was figuring on building it about .850 cubic feet. Also if someone could help me on porting. Does it matter which side its on and stuff like that.

Thanks
